Getting to Santa Monica

Once on the island, Google maps can lead you all the way to the gate of Santa Monica.

If you rent a car off-site from the airport, the meeting place for shuttle bus picks ups in at the left hand end of the ground floor car park. Go straight out, walk through the ticket-paying area, past the information point and turn left on a green path that takes you to a sitting area called meeting point 1.

You then head on the Me-12 to the roundabout heading right towards Mahon or left, 2nd exit, onto the Me-1 towards Alaior and Ciutadella.

Continue on the Me-1 main road, which passes Alaior (nearest large supermarket Binipreu in the industrial estate on Alaior’s westerly side) and continue until you pass a remote shop on your left, selling leather goods and island souvenirs.

After this shop continue on the road until you turn a corner and a large hill, Monte Toro, appears straight up ahead a red building is on your left. Then your turning onto the Me-16 to Es Mignorn Gran is the next left .

On the Me-16, you will reach a roundabout. Take the 2nd exit onto the Me-18 towards Es Migjorn Gran.

The road you are on will bring you into Es Migjorn Gran, sweeping around the left of the village, 2nd exit at the roundabout (the road ahead of you takes you through the centre of the village). The local ‘den of iniquity’ the Black Horse is to your right behind a high stone wall with flags on top.

Then the last bit involved carrying on straight still on the Me-18 (Av. de la Mar) at next roundabout (2nd exit again) and continue out of village, sharp corner swinging to the left and carry on for a kilometre until you see a sign for Depuradora pointing left. Turn left here.
